A Fisherman’s aneroid barometer by Negretti & Zambra of London as issued by the Royal National Lifeboat Institute numbered 15345. Cleaned and in good order throughout, typical Spelter case with brass bezel bolted through back of case, bevel edged glass and 4 ¾” enamel dial with black & red lettering, c1895. A good example of FitzRoy’s influence on barometers for the safety of mariners measuring: 6” x 2 ¼”.
