An 8” dial mercury wheel barometer by M Bamforth of Leeds. The case in a pleasantly coloured mahogany veneer with black & white stringing, long spirit filled thermometer and simple engraved dial with concave bezel and flat glass. In good order through out, measuring: 36 ½” x 10 ¼”. M Bamforth is recorded at the beginning of the 19th Century; this example is typical to about c1820.
