A traditional paper scaled oak cased Admiral FitzRoy barometer with boxwood thermometer scale and mercury filled tube and camphor glass on left hand side mounted on atmospheric scale of mercury height in a barometer compared to the height of the atmosphere as thought in Victorian days. The case in original medium oak colour with replacement setting keys operating the twin level indicators and replacement tube, the arched pediment surmounted by flower & leaf type carving of traditional design. The whole in good order, measuring: 46” x 9 ½” c1885 £1295
